Listen again and answer the questions

Dad : Come and look!
Seleem: What is it, Dad?
Dad : Our tomato plants are growing on the balcony! Look, can you see

the leaves and the flowers?
Seleem: Oh yes, but why are the tomatoes green?
Dad : Tomatoes are green before they are red.
Seleem: How do we grow new tomatoes?
Dad : Tomatoes have seeds inside. We can take the seeds and grow

new tomatoes! We plant a seed and the plant grows. That is
called germination. We water the plant every day, and the roots
grow under the soil. The plant grows flowers and the flowers
become tomato fruits.
Seleem: That’s awesome! And I found a red tomato! Let’s have it for
lunch!

Flowers, especially roses, have always been considered one of the

symbols of love, but you should know that flowers as they have

benefits, they also have some damages. That is, all flowers are not good

and beneficial to humans, some of them contain a number of toxic

chemicals, as everything has two faces, as well as flowers, we may find

that the thorns of some of them may injure our hands, and there are

types of flowers known as forest flowers and are dangerous to humans.

That painful truth will not negate the idea that flowers were and still

are the most beautiful creations of nature, and that growing trees must

be planted around all homes, offices or any empty place so that a lot of

pleasure is obtained from that gift that we take from nature. Flowers

have the ability to change a person’s mood.
